Lotus root ball*

Do you know "Karashi renkon"? It's a traditional food in Kumamoto. It is stuffed mustard into holes of Lotus root. My old brother likes it very much! But I don't like it because I can't eat mustard. Today I introduce other dish which uses lotus root (renkon).

Ingredients--*
・lotus root  250g
・ground chicken  100g
・a can of corn spring water (130g)
・4~5 tbsp of starch
・salt
・oil for frying
--------------------------------------

1. Peel of lotus root and soak them in vinegar water about 5~6 minutes. And then drain and grate it. Drain it in colander.

2. Drain corn in colander. Heat oil until 170°.
3. Mix 1, chicken, corn, 2 tbsp of starch, and salt. Make it into ball-sized.
4. Coat with rest of the starch, fly with oil heated 170° until brown. Put on the plate, sprinkle salt. Voila!☆

It's nice for refreshment. I think the best way of eating is dipping in ponzu sauce. Ponzu match with lotus root ball! You look for your favorite sauce which match with it.
